Katie brokenhearted for not getting a musical role - Oct 31, 2007
Katie Holmes is reportedly destroyed after being rejected for a role in a new musical movie. The 28-year-old star, who was eager to star in the film version of Broadway show Nine, was turned down when director Rob Marshall decided she was not appropriate for the part. "Katie desperately wanted to be in Nine. It would have taken her back to the singing and dancing she did when she was growing up,” a source was quoted as saying. "She thought working with Rob would be a career breakthrough. She was heartbroken when she didn't get the part," added the source.
